Rainbow!

I saw a rainbow on my work today! I knew right away that it was going to be a great day!!! Hope your day was wonderful too.

Our gardens need the rain!

Even on rainy days our gardens still look beautiful! This is the path outside of my office. I say "let it rain! There will be sunshine soon enough!

Pretty Pretty Princess

This is a Flowering Princess Tree! So wonderful with its deep purple flowers. Such a great time of the year here in our gardens with everything comming up new and fresh!

Should be a great night! Our residents have a "restaurant club" every month they go to a terrific restaurant here in Marin County. So many secrets to share!

Outside Hendrix Hall is this beautiful plant. I love how there is a peek of color hiding under the palms! Beautiful!

So Sweet

These sweet flowers were peeking out from under a bush in our gardens! Such a sweet surprise. I love the changing gardens and the wonderful flowers I am finding as I tour and walk the paths. So pretty.

Blooming Paradise!

The gardens are blooming in the middle of winter! This Bird of Paradise just opened. it is so beautiful next to the brilliant blue sky! You really need to stop by and see for yourself!

I came upon a resident working in her garden. These flowers are so beautiful and sweet!

Fresh herbs in our Gardens!!

When our terrific cooks need fresh herbs they just walk outside to our gardens! Rosemary and thyme basil...we have them all. FRESH!

The Japanese Flowering Tree has started to bloom! So beautiful. Spring is just around the corner here in Marin but my oh my what wonderful weather we have had to start the New Year. And what a year it will be.

This monument has greeted our visitors from the beginning. We are so proud of our founding here!

A year of celebration!

You can tell I am super excited about this year! It will be a continuing celebration of our founding and those amazing leaders who started this wonderful community.

Birds of Paradise are so beautiful. You should really stop by for a tour and see for yourself! The gardens are really beautiful even in the winter here in San Rafael.

90 Years!

Officially incorporated in 1921, 2011 marks the 90th anniversary of Aldersly, but according to the 10th anniversary booklet, the creation of Aldersly may have begun as early as 1905.
